My Story: JJ- Founder of Razor Tattoo Studio

Welcome to Razor Tattoo Studio. I’m JJ, and I’m honored to share my journey with you. For me, tattooing isn't just a profession—it’s a lifelong passion that has shaped who I am today.

My Journey

My path into the world of ink began when I was just 16. It started with a fascination for the craft and a chance encounter with a mentor who saw potential in my early drawings. Despite the challenges I faced growing up, art became my sanctuary. I spent years honing my skills, eventually training at the Tattoo Academy in Poland and opening my own studio in Warsaw’s Praga district, which I ran successfully for nine years.

Bringing My Vision to Chicago

After moving to the U.S., I spent two and a half years working in top-tier Chicago studios, including Chicago Realism Tattoo Studio and Król Tattoo Club. During 2023 and 2024, I was humbled to receive 21 awards at various tattoo conventions, including four "Best of Show" titles. These experiences pushed me to open Razor Tattoo Studio here in Schaumburg, where I can provide my clients with the highest level of artistry and care.

My Philosophy

I am a versatile artist who loves the challenge of different styles, with a particular passion for vibrant color work and complex cover-ups. I believe you can never stop learning in this industry. Technology and techniques are constantly evolving, and I am committed to staying at the forefront of these advancements to ensure my clients receive the best possible results.
